Neighborhood Argument Leaves 2 Shot, Elderly Gunman Critical

A 62-year-old man is in Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after shooting himself in the head Wednesday night in Yakima.

Around 9:30pm, police responded to a home near 27th and Englewood, where they found a 43-year-old man and a woman had been shot, but not critically. The shooter then barricaded himself in his home, and refused to leave, resulting in a standoff with SWAT crews.

Then after 10:45pm, the SWAT team was able to negotiate the man to come out. However, he had to be flown to Harborview after he reportedly shot himself in the head. His condition is listed as critical. The incident is still being investigated.
