Closing yet another loophole in the marijuana laws, it's now illegal to have open stashes of pot in your car, just like the open container alcohol law.

Starting September 26th,  you will have to keep your pot, edibles and other marijuana products in a closed contained when driving. House Bill 1276 prohibits not only open containers, but partially consumed pot products.

Legislators say the new law is designed to improve driver safety.  It also restores the Department of Licensing's ability to automatically suspend a person's license if they are found to be impaired by pot while behind the wheel.

So, the next time you're pulled over, put away that half-eaten marijuana brownie sitting in the dash or the console, or you will get at ticket - dude.
