Newstalk 870-Camp Patriot Demo Derby Car Raises Hundreds in Parade

The Newstalk 870-Perfection Tire-Camp Patriot demo derby car made it’s inagural appearance at the Benton Franklin Fair Parade Saturday morning in Downtown Kennewick.
Big thanks to D-2 Racing and Driver Dan Nelson and crew for bringing the car down to the parade, along with many of the other D-2 Racing cars that race Saturday nights at Columbia Motor Speedway in Hermiston. Newstalk 870 led the car along with over 160 other parade entrants along the 2 plus mile route, and hundreds of dollars in donations were raised that will go to Camp Patriot to help our injured veterans. Look for the Newstalk Demo Derby car, named Tax Slayer, Monday evening at six pm at the Benton Franklin Fairgrounds. Action kicks off with heat races, followed by the Demo Derby. You have a chance to make a donation to help Camp Patriot at the derby. And thanks to everyone who donated, and will or has gotten their name on the car for doing so.
