Because he is in town to attend a fundraiser, the President is going to potentially affect several hundred thousand drivers and commuters Thursday and Friday.

From 2 to 8pm Thursday,  a SIX BLOCK area will be completely closed off as he attends the event at The Sentinel Hotel, which costs anywhere from $500 to $10,000 per ticket. The delays are expected to be so widespread, the Portland Bureau of Transportation is encouraging people to work from home if they can, or ride a bike to avoid what are expected to be large traffic snarls.

Not just for downtown area motorists, but during the Presidential visit, all MAX trains and streetcars will be "stopped in their tracks," according to NW Cable News.

But that's not all. Friday, motorists can look forward to a "rolling" series of lockdowns, and Obama plans to visit the headquarters of Nike, in Beaverton.

Why is he there in the first place? To support what is called, according to the invitation, the White House 2016 Victory Fund.
