Obama’s ‘His And Hers’ Travel Costs Taxpayers

Air Force One and ObamasPresident Obama’s latest vacation, extending into September after Labor Day, is going to cost a bit more for taxpayers.  According to the Martha’s Vineyard Times,  Michelle Obama is taking a separate jet and will arrive earlier than the Prez, enabling her to get a few more hours of vacation time.

President Obama was expected to arrive later in the evening via Air Force One.  The specially designed military aircraft trip she took will end up costing tens of thousands, if not hundreds, to taxpayers.  This is not the first time the Obama’s “his and hers” travel plans ended up being borne by the taxpayers.  Last December, Michelle Obama ran up over a 100,000 dollar tab  by leaving early from their Hawaii vacation.  In these economic times, certainly not the type of example one would expect from the White House.
