A 2pm press conference is planned in Pasco.

Nearly 7 months after Antonio Zambrano was fatally shot near 10th and Lewis in Pasco after throwing rocks at cars, passers-by and police, officials are expected to announce if charges will be brought against the officers who fired at and hit him.

Zambrano, who was apparently high on meth at the time of the incident, was fatally shot, and three officers were directly involved.

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has completed hundreds of pages of information, videos and interviews, and Prosecutor Sean Sant plans to announce if criminal charges will be brought.

Coroner Dan Blasdel still wants to hold an inquest, but according to reports, the Zambrano family, the prosecutor and attorneys representing the Zambrano family are against it, claiming no new information will be learned from such a hearing.

A press conference is planned at 2pm Wednesday.
