If you listen to the Glenn Beck program, news of a new procedure by Onstar, the GM GPS satellite two communication service with your automobile.

Of course, Onstar has saved lives, helped stranded motorists, and even helped authorities catch crooks by disabling features on equipped cars. But according to a story on Wednesday's Glenn Beck program, Onstar has notified it's customers it is going to track speed and locations of cars...even if you cancel the service.   According to GM, the old Onstar agreement allows them to chronicle every location and speed of the vehicle, although according to Beck, it's not contained in the documentation.  But his question is, why would they want to continue to monitor someone's driving behavior, location and other data even if the service is cancelled?  GM does say, however the customer can request to be 'disconnected' from the tracking. But unless you specifically ask, even if you cancel the service, they will will be watching you...from space....
