Officials have not released many details about the incident at the Two Rivers Correctional Center.

Shortly after 10pm Saturday night, 67-year-old Larry Hurst was found unconscious in his single-person cell, and prison officials immediately began to perform CPR.  He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 11pm.

Hurst had been in the facility since April 2010, and was serving time for five counts of attempted delivery of marijuana, and one count of attempted sodomy in the second degree out of Deschutes County.

His earliest release date had been set for January 2015.   Relatives have been notified, and the investigation continues.
