Parent-School Altercation Locks Down Athena, Weston OR Schools

According to Superintendent Jim Reger, all three schools in the Athena-Weston district were on a brief lockdown Thursday due to an "altercation" with a parent.

Reger said the incident occurred at Weston Middle School. The event was described as "an incident with a parent."

The middle school as well as Athena Elementary and Weston-McEwen High School were all locked down between 11:45am and 12:50pm.

Reger says authorities were called, and the parent was taken into custody. No other details were released.
