Pasco police continue to investigate a late Friday afternoon shooting in downtown in Pasco, around 3:30pm.

Witnesses say they heard 4-5 shots being fired during an apparent altercation between two men near 2nd and Clark in Downtown.

They appeared to know each other, and one pulled out a gun and shot the other in the chest.   Police said the man was talking with police after the incident, before he was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The exact extent of his injuries was not given.   The suspect apparently walked away after the shooting.

No other information has been released yet.
