A Pasco officer and a brave bystander are being praised for likely saving the life of a driver who's car crashed and caught on fire early Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the car plowed into a building near Karchner Street and Industrial Way around 7:15am. Officer Matt Griffin, along with bystander Gregory Anderson, saw the car wedged into the building, and on fire.

Griffin and Anderson were able to pull the unconscious driver from the wrecked car, and Griffin was able to extinguish the fire using suppression equipment in his patrol car.

Although the cause of the accident is still unknown and being investigated. Griffin and Anderson are being praised as heroes for likely saving the driver's life.
