Like we recently saw in Kennewick  with the opening of Cottonwood Elementary,  Pasco will be modifying school boundaries with the opening of Rosalind Franklin Elementary at 52nd. and Powerline Road,  West Pasco will be changing.

The Pasco School District plans five public meetings to give information and take comments from citizens about proposed boundary changes caused by the new school.

Here is a list of meetings, locations and times.  These are the schools that will have their boundaries affected by the new elementary school:

·       Markham Elementary on Jan. 15 at 6 p.m.

·         McGee Elementary Jan. 15 at 6:30 p.m.

·         Twain Elementary Jan. 16 at 5:30 p.m.

·       Livingston Elementary on Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m.

·      Angelou Elementary on Jan. 21 at 6 p.m.

For more information, citizens can contact the Pasco School District at (509)-546-2807.  The district will be offering an "opt-in" choice for parents to have their children attend Franklin even if they live in another West side school boundary.
