An autopsy is scheduled for the 18-year-old shooting victim identified Thursday by the Franklin County Coroner.

Wednesday night Pasco police responded to a report of a shooting not far from the Cable Bridge, near 9th. Ave and River Street.

About 6:45pm, police found Gregory G. Thacker lying in the road. He died shortly thereafter before he could receive treatment at a hospital.  Despite searching the area, police were not able to readily identify a suspect.

Police dogs were not able to trace any suspects, but people in the are reported seeing a "dark skinned" man running from the area. It is not conclusively known if he was related to the shooting.

The autopsy is scheduled for Saturday. Limited information is being released due to the ongoing investigation.
