Leading up to a workshop coming November 21st, the City of Pasco wants citizen input on a variety of issues they're considering tackling.

The upcoming budget proposal includes the following ideas and proposals:

  • $600,000 towards the construction of a proposed new Animal Shelter Facility
  • $425,000 towards renovation of Peanuts Park, a wide variety of improvements and needed amenities.
  • Fire Station 84. This was acquired in a recent annexation. Located near Road 48 in the Riverview area. $250,000 is being considered to renovate the station to allow for better ambulance service, and to allow the building to house one. This station would dramatically decrease call response times in that area.
  • Also, some City Hall renovations, work on Oregon Avenue and other  projects are being considered.

Residents can stop by City Hall and get information, or check out the city website, where the entire budget is posted. Then at 7pm at City Hall, November 21st, a public hearing will be held to take comments on these projects.
