Wednesday evening, Kennewick police responded to a car hitting a pedestrian that left a Kennewick man with critical injuries.

Just before 7 p.m., police found a 63-year-old man (who's name has not yet been released) was struck by a car as he was crossing Fruitland Street at the Canal intersection.

The driver reportedly told police she didn't see the man in the street.

He sustained injuries and was flown to Spokane for treatment.

Police are asking anyone who may have been near the intersection at about 6:54 p.m. to provide any information they may have. You  can all 50)-628-0333.
