The January 2nd incident resulted in shots being fired at Umatilla County Deputies, a car chase, and the suspect being injured in a crash.

Charges of attempted murder have now been officially filed against 24-year-old Bryan Alberto Corona of Pendleton after he fired at officers during a January 2nd incident in which he led sheriffs deputies on a wild chase on numerous back roads in Umatilla County.

Corona was trying to elude officers, during the chase he fired numerous shots at them. He was finally rammed by a Umatilla County Sheriffs vehicle, and was struck by another vehicle as he tried to flee his car.

After being hospitalized for some time, he was finally released this week, and sent to the Umatilla County Jail. He is facing Aggravated Attempted Murder charges, in addition to reckless driving, unlawful use of a weapon, and attempting to flee charges.

He's been held on $1 million dollar bond since being arrested in January.
