It seems the Kennewick Police Department has been busy keeping tabs on calls about Pokemon GO players who are wandering through people's yards, and otherwise drawing calls about suspicious characters.

The KPD Facebook page contained this entry:

"POKEMON GO" PLAYERS CONTACTED ACTING SUSPICIOUSLY
KPD contacted several Pokemon Go players tonight for a variety of suspicious persons reports. 2 15-year old females were walking home when a vehicle began circling the block appearing to stalk the girls. The driver and occupant were a father and son playing this game and not stalking the girls. Another driver was contacted after pulling out onto the street with no headlights going to a new character location. Another Kennewick resident said two children knocked on his door asking to go into his backyard to capture a character. He refused to allow the kids to go into his backyard. Instead he went out to the backyard and captured the character for himself. KPD strongly suggests avoiding private property where these characters appear and parents educate their children on the danger of contacting strangers' homes."

(Bold lettering added for emphasis)

Just be smart when you're playing the game. We know it's wildly popular, but theo nly Pokemon GO we've seen in our yard was left there by our neighbor's dog.
