Police Close to Finding Suspect in Serious Bike Hit-And-Run

Kennewick police now say they have evidence from the accident scene that could help them locate the suspect vehicle.

Sunday,  bike rider was taken to TRIOS ER after being slammed into by a vehicle, which then fled the scene. The rider left the hospital on their own, after receiving some treatment, they are expected to be OK.  However due to the nature of the crash, the rider is lucky they were not seriously hurt or killed.

However, police say evidence from the scene may help them in the very near future find out who did it. Little details were released because it's still an active investigation.

The accident occurred on Columbia Park Trail near the Edison intersection that leads over the freeway. The driver apparently hit a small two-wheel trailer being towed by the rider, sending them crashing onto the shoulder.
