Police received additional information about a kidnapping and rape suspect already in custody,  which led to an additional search of his residence.

Early Tuesday morning, a search warrant was served at 704 S. Hawthorne St, where last Thursday Raymond Cuellar was arrested in connection with an alleged kidnapping and sexual assault.

Police called in additional Tri-Cities Regional SWAT Team members, who had been scheduled for training.   This was done to the criminal history involving several others who lived at the home besides Cuellar.

Those people cooperated with authorities, and ultimately several weapons reportedly linked to Cuellar were found.   He met up with his ex-girlfriend last week, violating a no-contact order.  He had originally threatened to go to her home where she is living with her parents, so she met him up the street.

At that time, he allegedly took her 5-year-old son whom she had brought with her, and placed him in his car, refusing to let him go.   The victim ultimately got in, Cuellar drove her to the S. Hawthorne residence and is accused of sexually assaulting her.

The weapons were seized as evidence in the kidnapping-assault case.  At this time no further arrests are expected in the case.
