Portland Robber Uses 10 Year Old Boy To Help in Crime

Portland police continue the search for the robber who stole money from a store with the help of a young boy.

Saturday, police reports indicate the man entered "The Meadow" specialty shop in North Portland, accompanied by what witnesses said was a boy, probably around 10 years old.  The robber grabbed the clerk around the neck, theatened to hurt her while the boy ran behind the counter, stole money from the register then both fled.

   It was not clear if they left together on foot, or separated.   The boy, according to witnesses, was about 4 foot 8, and appeared to know what he was doing.
