A mental evaluation continues on the man who climbed to the top of the Pioneer Memorial Bridge.

Shortly after 9 p.m. Monday evening,  Pasco and Kennewick police were alerted to a man climbing near the top of the Blue Bridge between Pasco and Kennewick. The man was seen near the flag pole and remained there for at least 20 minutes before authorities were able to talk him down. He did not jump.

No details about the man were released, except that he is being given a mental evaluation, as of early this morning. The latest reports indicate he had not been jailed.
