Prosser City Official Accused of Misconduct, Placed on Leave

The news came down late Tuesday evening, but Prosser City officials won't say what the accusations are.

Prosser City Adminsitrator David Stockdale has been placed on administrative leave effective immediately. According to Prosser's defense attorney, there have been misconduct accusations, but didn't say what they are.

According to various reports, an internal investigation is being conducted, and no further comment will be released by the city attorney. It is possible the city will issue a statement later by another official.

Typically City Administrators can serve a wide variety of duties, ranging from helping develop bids  and contracts for projects and services; to supervising expenditures or even acting as a treasurer or controller. Stockdale had been working in that position in Prosser since January 2016.
