Prosser Man Jailed in Shooting of Girlfriend

An EMS call in Prosser late Sunday night led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man, who's been accused with shooting his girlfriend.

Bradley Santoyo was taken into custody by Prosser Police and charged with 1st. Degree Assault Domestic Violence and  illegal possession of a firearm, for shooting a female in the leg at a Prosser apartment complex.

Police were dispatched to 900 Alexander Court for a report of a woman with an undisclosed medical issue. Upon arrival the emergency responders found her suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. However, she was uncooperative with authorities prior to being taken to Kadlec Hospital in Richland. She has apparently been released, according to police.

Further investigation led police to Santoyo, who was arrested and is on 72-hour investigative hold in the Benton County Jail. He is apparently the boyfriend of the woman. More details expected to be released soon.
