Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow today which means he's predicting an early spring but according to our own Hanford Hank, snow rain and bitter temps are on the way for the Tri-Cities.

It's Groundhog Day 2019 and Phil has spoken, spring is on the way because he didn't see his shadow from his burrow in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.

It's a tradition that's been going on since 1886 and Phil's aren't perfect. We make a big adieu but the Phil is only correct 39% of the time, if he was a NFL Quarterback, he'd would've been sacked ages ago.

Luckily, we have our groundhog of legend, and that's Hanford Hank.

Hanford Hank peaks his head up once a year beneath his burrow underneath the world famous Reactor "B" and his prediction for 2019 is much different than his long distant relative.

According to the National Weather Service and Hanford Hank, Spring isn't on the way but another round of Winter. We can expect a 40% chance of snow starting early Monday morning and our temperatures will drop 10 to 20 degrees lower that normal for this time of the year.

If was a I banking on a groundhog this weekend, I think I'll put my money down on Hanford Hank.
