A number of sources close to the action say the Sacramento Kings and a group of investors want to bring the team to Seattle -- it's all but done.According to a flurry of Twitter tweets, it appears to be extremely close to happening, if it deal hasn't been signed already. The Sonics moved to Oklahoma City a few years ago and become Western Conference power "Thunder."

If the information is correct, Sacramento is not very good. But hoops-hungry Seattle fans are buzzing over the activity.

According to information from KING5 reporter Chris Daniels, there is still the issue of the "environmental impact statement" in Seattle. It also has to meet with NBA approval. The deadline for relocation is March 1.

But Daniels reports either way the Kings and current owners the Maloof Family are done in Sacramento. Daniels also tweeted Wednesday afternoon about how a loan from the Maloof family to Sacramento would have to be dealt with, and whether the city would take a payoff to let the team leave.

Should the Kings relocate? Other questions come up as well. Would they be called the Sonics and reclaim the green and gold? When the Sonics left, all naming rights, trophies, banners, awards and former property of the franchise remains with Seattle.

We shall see what happens!
