Richland police arrested two men, Geovanni Soto and Edward Simiano, without incident after they ran back to their home and refused to come out armed with weapons. At first, Richland PD responded to a burglary in progress by two young men in a Richland house according to news reports. They left that house and were chased back to their home armed with shotguns. The suspects refused to come out and Richland PD called the regional SWAT team which negotiated their surrender.

Once the young men were in custody, they found evidence for the burglary, arrested them for felony charges, and booked them into the Benton County jail.
