This weekend marks the 10th annual 'Time of Remembrance' in Washington State to honor the families and comrades of Washington’s Fallen during this Global War on Terrorism. Families from Idaho and Oregon will also be in attendance. This tribute, being held in the cities of Pasco, Richland, Kennewick and West Richland, Washington, honor those who have died for their country and the families left behind.

Join the Gold Star Families on Saturday, September 24th for the first annual parade hosted by the City of Richland. A flyover with two Navy F-18 jets paying tribute at 11:00 a.m. at John Dam Plaza. and procession is scheduled to kick off the parade at 10:30am wherein each Gold Star family will be holding the banner of their fallen soldier and will march from Torbett and Jadwin Street heading South to Knight Street.  The public is encouraged to then join the families at the Hapo Community Stage at John Dam Plaza. A special program that includes singing, speeches, and presentations will begin at 11:15 am.

A Candlelight Vigil will take place at Columbia Park at the Veteran’s Memorial in Kennewick. The public is invited to join the families at the beautiful Candlelight Ceremony next to the Columbia River. The Vigil will start at 7:30 pm.

Sunday, September 25th, there will be an official State Recognition Ceremony hosted by the City of West Richland at Flat Top Park, on Bombing Range Road in West Richland. The Memorial Ceremony will begin at 11:00 am.
