You have to wonder what some people thinking. Did he think by kidnapping her he was going to convince her to stay with him?

A Richland man is facing 2nd-degree kidnapping charges today after being arrested by Kennewick police early Friday morning.   21-year-old Abraham Gomez-Moore allegedly tried to "drive off" with his ex-girlfriend around 1:30am.

According to police, Gomez-Moore was following 18-year-old Mikaela Baker, who was riding in a car with 21-year-old Seryxai Phongsavath of Kennewick. Gomez-Moore reportedly passed them, then forced them to stop by slamming on the brakes once he was in front of the car.

He then forced Baker from the car she was riding in, shoved her into his car through the driver's door and sped off. Phongsavath followed them, and notified police.   Kennewick police located Morris' car near Kennewick Ave. and Vancouver Street, and he was quickly taken into custody without incident.

The investigation continues.
