Thursday, Richland police responded to the 1800 block of George Washington Way for a report of a man who allegedly assaulted a store employee.

Police said 44-year-old Tho P. Tran Thursday afternoon after receiving a report that he had grabbed the chest of a woman.

Tran reportedly lured the female employee out of a store in the 1800 block of GW Way by asking for help, then grabbed her chest when she exited the store. Tran then fled on foot, but was later located walking in the 1700 block area of Jadwin.  Police recognized him from the witness-victim's description as someone they'd previously investigated.

He was arrested on charges of assault with sexual motivation as well as resisting arrest. He apparently put up a fight before officers were able to subdue him.
