Police say failure to stop at a stop sign at 7th and Vancouver led to serious injuries for one driver Thursday night.

Kennewick officials said a white Honda Accord was headed east on West 7th, but didn't stop for the stop sign at Vancouver. A 2004 Honda traveling south on Vancouver (who had the right of way) 't-boned' the white car in the drivers door.

The impact was hard enough to propel the white car into a nearby park. The driver of the white car had to be extricated with the Jaws of Life because his legs were pinned inside the car.  He was taken to TRIOS Southridge ER with what were described as "serious injuries" by Kennewick police. There was no mention of any injuries to the driver of the 2004 Honda.
