According to a California-based think-tank,  same-sex marriage will add millions to the Washington state economy.

The Williams Institute at UCLA says a study shows over the next three years, an estimated $166 million dollars will be added to the state economy because of same-sex weddings and all the spending that go with them.

The Institute reports spending on weddings by gay couples in Washington will be an estimated $89 million dollars over the next year, and they say that does not include out-of-state couples who may come to the state to marry, because of it's recent passage of R-74.    Two other states who approved similar measures are expected, says The Institute, to also see significant economic gains.
