Not only did Pasco police nab the driver of a car that tried to elude them, but shortly afterward were able to arrest the passenger who was actually wanted by the Department of Corrections.

Police report shortly after midnight Tuesday morning, Officer Joshua glass tried to pull over this Nissan Altima near Sylvester and 14th. However the driver, later identified as Bailey Renee Nelson,33, of Pasco, sped off.

The chase went west on Sylvester, to Road 60 near Argent, and finally came to a stop when Nelson got trapped in a cul-de-sac on Thistledown. She was immediately caught at the scene.

Her passenger, later identified as 33-year-old Zachary Thomas Lund of Richland, fled on foot and escaped. But the chase followup led to police learning his identity. About an hour later he was arrested at the nearby Maverick convenience store. He'd entered the store barefoot, because during the chase from Pasco police he'd kick off his sandals. They were found during the chase.

Franklin County Sheriff's on patrol saw him enter the store without shoes, and matching the description of the suspect. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Department of Corrections. He's not facing any charges from the chase.
