To help promote the release of their new book, "Our Sarah: Made in Alaska," Palin's brother and father are coming to Richland in October.

Hastings on George Washington Way (the same place where Sarah herself had fans stretched around the block to sign her then-new release "Rogue") will present Chuck Heath Sr. and Jr.

The event, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10, 6:30 p.m., will showcase their new work that reveals (as the book says):

"The glimpse you will see in this book is that of the real Sarah Palin — the Sarah we know and love, not the one created by the national media.”

Our Sarah: Made in Alaska from Center Street/Hachette Book Group is more than a memoir, it is a survival story of a family who braved the harsh terrain and climate of Alaska, rolled up their sleeves and built a better life. That struggle, and this family helped create the first female governor of Alaska and the political superstar we know today.

They were inspired to write the work to battle the perception of Palin created by the media -- one the major networks and media outlets continue to perpetuate to this day. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by Heath Jr. and Sr. The event is open to the public; everyone is welcome to attend.
