Search For Violent Assault Suspect Puts Richland School in Lockdown

A search for a still at-large assault suspect put Christ The King School on temporary lockdown Thursday morning.

35-year-old Edgar Solano is being sought by Richland police after he allegedly beat a woman while she was holding her child. She sustained significant injuries to her torso and was taken to Kadlec. She did manage to get away from him, the child was not harmed.

Solano, whom officers say is reportedly very intoxicated, is wearing all black clothing and reportedly armed with a knife. A gun was found at the scene of the assault near Smith and Swift in Richland. That proximity to Christ The King prompted the lockdown, according to KEPR-TV.

Solano is still at large. He is considered dangerous say police.
