Leave it to the City of Seattle to come up with this one.

The City Council is considering levying a charge of $25 for every gun sold, and $.5 cents for every round of ammo in the form of a tax on gun sales within the city limits.

The money would be used on gun violence prevention, and research on how to prevent gun violence on the city and it's residents.

Officials say the tax would produce about $300,000 in annual revenue. The idea will be discussed at the Wednesday, July 8 city council meeting.
