The Seattle Transit Authority and King County have rejected an ad from a local non-profit group urging Seattlites to buy American and support local businesses.

Richard Tso, director of TAPAmerica, a non profit group, said he and his group were shocked when it was rejected.  Tso said his group was prepared to pay as much as $9,000 to have the ad placed on dozens of Metro buses that would run throughout the Seattle and King County metro area.   King County said the ad violated one of their policies, which reads ads will be rejected that deal with:

"“matters of public debate about political, religious or social issues.”

Tso said American should never be a bad word, and wonders if King County is being overly politically correct.  What is your feeling on this?
