A school bus from Selah was hit by a car traveling the opposite direction that crossed the center line before 7 am Thursday morning.

Te'a Zimmerman was driving on the 2000 Block of Speyers Road when she crossed the center line and crashed into the front left side of the bus.

Zimmerman told police that it was foggy and she was coughing when she crossed the center line, according to news reports. Police said she also did not clear off her windshield completely of ice and cited Zimmerman for the accident.

None of the 5 children on the bus were injured, but both the driver of the bus and Zimmerman complained of neck pain. They were both taken to a local hospital to be checked.
