Authorities say a semi-truck hauling a hay trailer ran a stop sign at the intersection of North Glade and Sheffield Road and struck a North Franklin School District bus in the side.

Fortunately, the driver was not seriously injured, and no school children were on the bus Monday afternoon.

The driver said she watched one truck roll through the intersection without stopping, and another truck was behind it. She thought the second truck would stop at the stop sign, but it didn't. The second truck slammed into the side of the bus, causing it to roll over.

The driver was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center with back and head pain, the driver was not injured but was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco for evaluation. The crash also toppled a power pole nearby.

The truck was licensed to Corrales Ag, based in Othello.  Authorities didn't say if charges were pending for the driver of the semi for running the stop sign.

The crash occurred after the driver had made her rounds and dropped off the children on her route.
