A 33-year-old man was cited for negligent driving and not wearing his seat belt after his semi-truck crashed early Thursday morning on Highway 240.

Floriberto Pimentel-Flores was west of Richland, headed west on 240 when his truck went off the highway onto the shoulder.

He apparently over corrected and the truck tipped over in the eastbound lane, around 4:20am.

The Washington State Patrol said Flores was not wearing his seatbelt, he was taken to Kadlec regional Medical Center, but no word was given on his condition. Troopers said inattention was the reason for the crash, he was cited for negligent driving and not wearing the belt.
