Shocker! Ichiro Traded To (GASP!) Yankees!

The player everyone thought would retire in Seattle has been traded!

Over the years, the Mariners have traded away the likes of Big Papi (David Ortiz),  Astrubel Cabrerra (Cleveland)  Shin-S00 Choo (Cleveland)  Rafael Soriano (Yankees) and other talented players.  But nobody ever thought Ichiro would go.   He has.

ESPN reporting late Monday that Ichiro was shipped out for a pair of pitching prospects and cash.  Ichiro had indicated he wanted to be traded, and it would best if he did not return to the rebuilding (as always!) Mariners in2013.  More coming on this story!
