Pit Bull Kills Baker City Child

Police in Baker City are investigating the death of a 5-year-old boy, who was apparently killed by a pit bull at his babysitter’s house.

Due to Baker City’s four-day school school schedule, the boy was at his babysitter’s home for the day. Police did not release specific details of the attack or how it occurred.

Police said the child was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead sometime mid-Friday morning.

KTVB-TV reported the dog has been inpounded as the investigation continues.

The identity of the child was not released.
