Shots Reportedly Fired Near M Hotel in Richland Tuesday Night

Richland police continue to investigate a Tuesday night report of shots being fired near the vacant M Hotel on George Washington Way in Richland.

The hotel sits across GW Way from Jefferson Elementary, and around 8:30 pm police were called about reports of neighbors hearing gunfire.

No bullet holes were found in the structure or surrounding area, but police continue to expand the search. However, the Richland Police blog reports 15 shell casings were found in the parking lot.  Officials said they were from a 9mm pistol. A K-9 unit search of the area didn't turn up any suspects.
