Snoqualmie Pass is closed Thursday January 21st and officials say it will continue to be closed until conditions change. The pass was closed because of avalanche danger and crews are actively trying to clear the danger. Here is a direct quote from the WSDOT website.

"I-90 is closed from mp 34 near North Bend to mp 106 near Ellensburg due to avalanche danger. The pass will remain closed today until conditions change. WSDOT avalanche crews will be doing control work throughout the day. Compact snow and ice on the roadway."

If you need to travel to the west side, they say to use US 2 at Stevens Pass as an alternate route.
