We've heard this before, but it appears our first chance to snow for Winter 2011 could be on the way.

The National Weather Service is predicting significant snowfall for the Blue Mtns and Cascades over the next few days, and with colder air, it could spill into the Mid Columbia.   Starting Thursday evening there is a chance of snow overnight thru Sunday.   Now, with temperatures in the upper 30's possibly 40, any such snow would probably melt.  But don't be surprised if you see white flakes coming down;  the Weather service says Mid Columbia could get enough dusting to cover the ground--but probably NOT enough to delay school, much to the chagrin of children everywhere.
