Thanks to sharp observations from store employees, and tips generated through social media, a robber is behind bars. And, if you're going to rob a business, try NOT to be a regular previous customer!

A 26-year-old man is in custody after Kennewick police arrested him Sunday, thanks to tips generated from social media.

Lee Torres allegedly robbed the Circle-K at the corner of Edison and Canal Drive in Kennewick Friday night. Turns out, store employees recognized him as a previous customer in the store. Police released surveillance images of Torres on social media throughout the weekend, and received tips.

This information allowed them to make the arrest on Sunday, he is now in the Benton County jail.

NOT that we ever encourage bad behavior, but before you decide to knock off a business, remember the clerks DO pay attention to who their regular customers are!
