A rap music promoter has plead not-guilty after allegedly shooting and killing a 22-year-old soldier at a nightclub parking lot in Tacoma.

Marshall Marion Wilson, 34, of Kent, is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault and unlawful gun possession, according to news reports.

He allegedly shot and killed 22-year-old soldier Daquan Foster multiple times in the parking lot of a club in the 8400 block of South Hosmer Street in Tacoma.

A fight started between the men when Foster and his wife were leaving the club. A friend next to Wilson pulled out a handgun and Foster and his wife ran to their car parked at a nearby gas station.

Shots rang out and Foster was hit multiple times and his wife in the thumb. Foster died later of his wounds at the hospital.

Police found 17 shell casings from two different guns at the scene.

Wilson has prior convictions of first-degree assault in King County in 2002.
