Technologists are taking the issue of texting and driving pretty seriously, so much so that the next generation of Apple i-phones are going to play nanny for you.

According to various sources, including CNN Technology, the upcoming new Apple iOS-11 will contain a do not disturb feature.

When the phone is connected to a vehicle, either by cable or Bluetooth, the phone will automatically hold text messages from appearing on your phone until it comes to a stop. It will automatically display a do not disturb screen and notify the text or message sender that you're driving.

Although the user can still utilize the Apple Play and navigation, the new IOS-11 will also disable the apps and other commonly 'played with' features on the phone while the vehicle is moving. The new system is already available on the automotive side in the latest models from GM, Fiat, Chrysler BMW and Honda.
