Benton County sheriff's report 3 suspects are in custody after being arrested Monday for vehicle theft.

Around 1:30pm, an alert citizen called 911 to report a Chevy Suburban stick in Hover Pond at the park, and three men were milling around acting weird.

Upon arrival deputies found the vehicle had been reported stolen April 1st from the 7000 block of Willamette Ave. The three suspects had taken the rig, and decided to pick up a couple of friends and go 'mudding.'

Now in the Benton County jail are 36-year-old Daniel Torres, 27-year-old Javier Velasquez, 19-year-old Marshall McKee. Velasquez and McKee actually stole the vehicle and are now facing auto theft charges. Torres was booked on an outstanding warrant. A fourth suspect who fled the scene, 28-year-old Samantha Delanoy, was later located and also arrested for outstanding warrants.

Crime indeed makes you stupid.
