Much like the Michigan game saturday, the West Virginia-Marshall U football game Sunday was stopped late in the second half due to lightning, however, reports that a fan was struck were disputed.

The Mountaineers were holding a significant lead when the game was called late in the fourth quarter, however, according to officials, ESPN reports that a fan was struck by lightning at the game were NOT correct.  The stormy east coast weather also raised havoc in Atlanta, where the NASCAR race was posted all way until Tuesday at 11am Eastern.  Other games affected by the rain, thunder and lightning included the Notre Dame-South Florida game, where teams remained in their locker rooms for TWO hours until conditions improved.  According to the latest reports, however, from West Virginia, lightning struck the Mountaineers stadium in Morgantown, but NOT a fan.
