STRIKE OVER – Pasco Teachers Approve New Contract
Specifics are still coming, but the strike is over.
After reaching an agreement on a new contract over the weekend, Monday Pasco teachers approved a new two-year deal, by a margin of 99.64% in favor.
Once the ratification is complete, the District will release specific details about what's in the two-year plan. It's expected to contain increases in spending for new curriculum, as well as teacher compensation related to that topic.
K through freshman students will return to school Tuesday September 15th, while grades 10-12 will start Wednesday.
We do know the contract contains a 4.25% raise in year one, and a 4.45% raise in year two. More specifics are expected to come from District shortly.
